Chair-Elect Heads New Chamber Committee

Carla Hall, the Chamber’s next incoming Chair, will head a new division dedicated to improving chamber operations. The Organizational Excellence Division will work on developing a long range strategy for the Chamber, preparing the Chamber to be nationally accredited, and standardizing Chamber procedure.
The environment for most businesses has changed. The Chamber of Commerce must have a clear direction for to protect its members interest and lead the community forward. Accreditation nationally will allow the Chamber to independently verify that it has its “house in order.” Communicating the way the Chamber selects board members and operates internally will make the entire organization more transparent.
Lynn Lovett, Chairman of the Board of Directors, introduced this new division in the recent Chamber Annual Dinner.
