Be Counted in 2010
Posted on Dec 11, 2009 by Amanda Melton
The U.S. Census Bureau is issuing a call to action for every resident of our nation: “BE COUNTED IN 2010.”
The 2010 Census will take place on April 1, 2010. Questionnaire responses should represent the household as it exists on this day. All residents MUST be counted – people of all races and ethnic groups, both citizens and non-citizens. The census is a count of EVERYONE residing in the United States.
The U.S. Constitution requires a national census every 10 years. It will show state population counts and determines representation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Census questionnaires will be delivered or mailed to households via US mail in March 2010. Be sure to fill our your questionnaire on Census Day: April 1, 2010! With only 10 questions, the questionnaire is one of the shortest in history and takes only 10 minutes to complete.
